Back to normal

The swedes left on Friday and now we're back to normal again.. Heidi has gotten used to doing fun stuff and big outings every day so I can tell she's a bit bored with just me around. Heidi actually wakes up every morning asking for 'faaa' (grandpa) and Ann. Heartbreaking!

We have started planning Heidi's birthday party! We're gonna do a 'Dora the explorer' pool party with soap bubbles. Wish me luck guys! These toddlers are hard to please :)

Chloe is making a lot of progress (as they do at this age). She is grabbing things, 'talks' to you and the best of all sleeps through the night without waking up! She goes for a full 12 hours now and this is something Heidi didn't do until at least 7 months! And not until we got a childpsycologist in to help us. I guess Fred and I are a bit more confident now and we don't let the kids push us around and decide when they want to sleep. :)
It is a short blog this week but stay tuned for next week when we're back from a weekend in Melbourne.
Big kisses

A busy week

I don't even know where to begin. We have had the best time with my dad and Ann. We have done 1 million things and the girls have done some new fun things both of them.

Chloe gave up her first 'belly-laugh' last week. Too funny! Heidi was having dinner, eating spaghetti, and I was sitting next to her with Chloe sitting on the table and all of sudden Chloe looks at Heidi and starts to laugh. Heidi and I just looked at eachother and started to laugh too. It was a great moment that I wish I had videotaped :) Then today, Chloe blew her first bubbles with her mouth and she took her first dip in the pool. I think she likes doing both equally.

Heidi went to her first dance class on Friday at a real danceschool. Adorable!!! Heidi followed the teachers instructions really well and already knows how to do twirls and other moves. She did get tired halfway through though and decided to sit the class out in one of the corners of the room. That's ok though. I must admit, I was pretty exhausted too at the end of it. :)

On Monday we went to Toddlerfest at the science museeum and everyone loved it! Heidi experimented with everything she could find but at the end lego and playdoe were the faves. Then on the Tuesday we went to Bennion beach and the little rockpool they have there. The rockpool is great because it keeps the sharks out. I saw 'Jaws' when I was way too young and can't go in the sea since.

On Wednesday I went to meet a client, my first paying photograpy client. I have started to some serious photography and will do a family portrait photoshoot on Sunday. Very exciting! While I did that Bengt, Ann and the girls went to Kings Park to play. When I went to pick them up, Heidi was dirty from top til toe and running around without shoes!

Then on Thursday we went to Whiteman park to visit the wildlife park. They had heaps of kangaroos, koalas, farm animals and all that good stuff so it was great fun! Heidi fed the kangaroos, pated a deer and got to go into a pen with about 30 bunny-rabbits! Im suspecting we have to get her a pet-bunny at some stage :)

See you soon

Finally connected!!!

Talk about the blog being overdue for an update! We are finally connected and for the first time in 3 weeks Im intouch with the real world. Funny how being without internet feels like you have completely disappeared from the planet. Scary that Im that addicted!

So we have now moved into our house and we've been living in (and still are) a complete mess. The kids have been so good through out this big change. Heidi got used to her new room from the first night. She was the only one that had a bed properly assembled from the first day. Fred, Chloe and I have been sleeping on a madress on the floor. We've been to busy with getting the house ready and putting the beds together was not a high priority. And besides it's like camping. :)

My dad and Anne arrived yesterday and they are here for two weeks. They have already taken over the care of the kids. Perfect!! We'll get some time off!!!!
Im planning to hit the gym ASAP to shred the last few kgs after growing Chloe for 9 months. Or maybe eating huge amounts of cheese and drinking wine every night has something to do with not losing weight ;)
What you have to go through for your kids!
Heidi loves to play with her grand-papa and it's almost like she remembers Bengt and Anne from Sweden in May. Today we went up to Hillarys harbour for lunch and next week we're planning to go to the science museum to Toddlerfest, Araluen botanic park and to Cavershamwildlifepark to feed the kangaroos.

Big kisses
