Clarifying who is the boss

Heidi as Rapunzel
Heidis favourite disney princess caracter is Rapunzel. The other day I came home from the shops with a Rapunzel wig for her and for 3 days straight, as soon as Heidi woke up every morning, she wore that wig and told everyone that she was Rapunzel and Chloe was the frog. Its always good to get the hierarchy right in case there is confusion.

Phase 2 of my renovation project has started and I'm now taking on the upstairs hallway and the master bedroom. I'm painting the walls and my precious wallpaper is going up once and for all.

First day of spring

Spring is here!!! This is the best time of year. As we don't really have seasons as such, September and October is the closest thing we have to spring before it gets unbearably hot.

Yesterday we spent all day cleaning up the pool area and Fred finished the structure for his beloved bar. He is so proud of it and says that ones he has completed his vision it’s gonna look awesome. I’m sure it will and as long as the bar can store ingredients to make a decent Margarita, I’m happy.

Heidi has started gymnastics and she loves it. Heidi has always been energetic and athletic so I think this will be a fun activity for her. Last week Fred came along to watch and he bought her a pink, sparkly leotard to wear. She looks adorable!

Sweden and seeing awesome friends and family

This is my dads summerhouse were

since when my brother
and I were little
Our beach at lake Sisjön

We're back after 2 absolutely fantastic months in Sweden! I can't believe how quickly it all went by.

We had a great time and got to spend some amazing quality time with my parents, grand mother and my closest and dearest friends :) .
We arrived in Sweden after a pretty crazy flight and the first thing on the agenda was mum and Stellans wedding. The ceremony was held in the garden of the house they just moved into. The reception was also held at the house and the food was catered by my mum and Stellans best friends who live next door. It was a great day. Heidi was still a bit and jetlaged and Chloe had a fever and slept for most of the day but it was still a beautiful moment which Im very happy to have been able to witness. And I must say Im impressed with the party and my mums friends. Everyone was singing and dancing until 5am!

The weekend after the wedding, the kids stayed with my dad and Ann at our summer house and I went to see Susanne and Maria in Gothenburg. We had the best time and it was exactly like in the good ole' days. :)

My grandmother Sigrid. I got
a chance to spend a lot of time
with her.

Heidi and Noah saw eachother for the first time in 1.5 years and it was like they hadn't been apart at all. We spent a long weekend together with Noah and his family at the summerhouse and then Heidi and I went to see them in Gothenburg. It is really heartbreaking to see the two of them having so much fun and really caring about eachother and knowing that it will be long until they see eachother again...

Going back to Sweden for 2 whole months was really great. We got a chance to do a lot of things but also take time to do nothing.
Heidi and Chloe came back to Australia only speaking swedish. For the first week or so Fred couldn't understand the girls at all nor could they understand him. Now it's back to normal - the girls only understand what they want to understand. And I think the same goes for Fred. ;)
