Happy Birthday Heidi!

Heidi is 2! We started the celebrations with chocolate cupcakes in bed decorated with lit sparklers and then we moved on to opening her mountain of pressies. Heidi looooves Tinkerbell and anything fairies so most of the presents were of that theme. The rest of the day was pretty much like any other but we're having a birthday party with her friends on Sunday to really celebrate.

And a big thanks to everyone for the wonderful presents that you sent her!

Last weekend we went to Melbourne to see the McCarthys. We had expected the worst for the flights and we were right. Heidi did not want to be strapped in for take off and landing so she threw a BIG tantrum. Fred and I just looked at eachother and we knew that there was nothing that we could do about it. The flight crew and the other passengers gave us dirty looks but it didn't really stress us out at all. That's 'terrible twos' for ya!

The weekend was great though. The girls slept well and Heidi played with the 'Macca' boys and had the best time. We had arranged for a sitter for Saturday night and hit Chapel street for dinner and cocktails with Fred old buds. So much fun ...and so much to drink!

It was a great weekend and a prefect dry-run for our trip to Bali on the 17th of April . Now we truly know that the flight will be a nightmare.

Chloe has two teeth coming through already and is almost sitting up by herself! I hope she doesn't decide to start crawling anytime soon though... She has started to want more attention now and it's not good enough to play alone in the baby gym anymore. It's now the real work starts! Any of the grandparents planning another trip out here soon?? ;))

It's 8.35am and the house is quiet! Both girls have finally fallen asleep after waking up at 5.30am this morning. Im sitting here with a nice cuppa coffee enjoying the silence. When the kids wake up we're heading up to Kings Park to play. Then the quiet time is over until tonight and the dark circles under my eyes are getting darker... and darker... and darker...

Bisou xxxx
